The bgliving magazine is a quarterly publication incorporating stories, events, and business listings for the Bowling Green, Ohio area. The new website allows the magazine to feature each quarters articles prominently while also displaying current events and news posts. The website also features advertising and listings for businesses that are featured in the magazine making the website a portal to information about the city of Bowling Green.
For this website I utilized the newest version of WordPress 3.0 to include custom categories for the various types of business listed. A custom homepage was developed to pull the latest three featured articles from the newest edition of the magazine to be prominently featured on the homepage in a custom rotating banner. Along with these features an open-source ad portal was used to create the various ad zones and to deliver the ads while giving reporting metrics.
